Has this bug been looked at recently? Other distribs claimed to have fixed it:
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72589 This is a denial of service, whether self inflicted or not, and there are fixes out there. There seems to be no way to clear those resources once they are allocated by xloadimage, and one is required to restart X. Reminds me of how things are done in the Windows world. If I sound a bit tetchy, it's because this bug (which should have #387030 merged into it) has been fairly unacknowledged for 3 years now.
