I disagree. I think most users would be annoyed if the default setting
were changed to that, and their cookies starting disappearing on
them. Only people concerned with others knowing their surfing habits
are interested in turning this off, and they are the minority.

I just found out that the default setting for keeping cookies is to
keep them until they expire. This has a severe impact on privacy.

The default should be changed to either delete them when firefox is
closed, or the user should be asked when first starting firefox which
setting he prefers.
