Bug#337847: qt4-designer: I see nothing in the menu

I just try qt4-designer but I can't see menu items. I wonder if it could
be a font problem. But since I get no error message, I can't give you
more information.

I had the same problem. but after restarting my computer, all works well. And 
I can't reproduce it.

Does removing ~/.designer and restarting fix it?

No.
I even try to remove ~/.designer*, but it still doesn't work.
