Oops, you#re right: radeon is a Xorg driver for ATI RADEON based video cards. It contains full support for 8, 15, 16 and 24 bit pixel depths, dual-head setup, flat panel, hardware 2D acceleration, hardware 3D acceleration (except R300 and IGP series cards), hardware cursor, XV extension, Xinerama extension. Only my sucky card is not accelerated. Argh. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I have yet to try the ATI proprietary drivers since, until earlier this month, they didn't support suspend/resume. > I cannot reproduce that. > Can you think of any further diagnostic output I could provide? I cannot reproduce that. I have an nvidia card: timetunnel works OK, but withthe nv and nvidia drivers. And on the other machine I have a ATI Technologies Inc ATI Radeon XPRESS 200M 5955 (PCIE), and timetunnel works OK with the "radeon" driver from X.org (albeit it's a bit slow) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#344381: xscreensaver-gl: 'timetunnel' Aborts with Texture Error
Package: xscreensaver-gl Version: 4.23-3 Severity: normal The screen saver 'timetunnel' refuses to run on my system, aborting with an error: $ /usr/lib/xscreensaver/timetunnel timetunnel: texture error: invalid value The same error occurs even when prepending 'XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1' to the command line. The system in question is running xorg 6.8.2.dfsg.1-10, and has an ATI Radeon Mobility 9200, which supports GL acceleration. A different machine with the same version of xorg and xscreensaver-gl installed runs 'timetunnel' fine (albeit slowly); that machine has Intel integrated graphics. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
