Package: nvidia-kernel-source
Version: 1.0.7174-3
Severity: important
Source compiles and resulting deb file installs fine. When you try to
load the module with
# modprobe nvidia
i get this error (dmesg gives same error):
nvidia: Unknown symbol register_ioctl32_conversion
nvidia: Unknown symbol unregister_ioctl32_conversion
FATAL: Error inserting nvidia
(/lib/modules/2.6.14-a6q-2/nvidia/nvidia.ko): Unknown symbol in module,
or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
I tested the module using an x86 installation on the same system
previously, and it worked fine.
Anders
P.s. I just noticed below that nvidia-glx wasn't installed. After
installation I get the same error.
