Bug#348999: banshee segfaults for me too...

2006-02-07 Thread Sebastian Dröge
Hi,
your gdb run isn't too useful, sorry :/

Well... the first segfault is a known problem on amd64, the second one a
known problem with newer mono versions and the dbus bindings :(

only the third one is unknown to me yet... can you please rerun banshee
in gdb and give me a backtrace of that segfault (by simply typing
'backtrace' after the segfault)

Bye

PS: maybe these problems are fixed with the new banshee version I'll get
uploaded later... please report back

PPS: If the problems with avahi / daap are still there with 0.10.5 I'll
split the daap plugin off in another binary package

Bug#348999: banshee segfaults for me too...

2006-02-05 Thread Andreas Henriksson
Hi!

I don't know if my problems are the same as the original reporter but
banshee is totally unusable for me too.

I can start banshee but as soon as I try to play a song banshee dies.
I ran gdb as suggested previously in this bugreport, and noticed that
there was actually several segfaults during startup which banshee
mysteriously seems to survive before the final deadly segfault when
trying to play a song.

I'll attach the info from my gdb runs to this mail in hope that you can
solve these problems...

Regards,
Andreas Henriksson

started banshee from console. GUI appeared with the mp3 album I've previously
added to banshee playlist. Double-clicking song in playlist (to srart playing
it?) makes banshe crash.
