Package: gv Version: 1:3.6.1-13 Followup-For: Bug #364407
I ahve the same problem as the original reporter of this bug. Attempting to start GV produces:- $ gv magic-cauldron.ps Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-Helvetica-Medium-R-Normal--*-140-*-*-P-*-ISO8859-1" to type FontStruct Warning: Unable to load any usable ISO8859 font Warning: Unable to load any usable ISO8859 font Segmentation fault I believe this is related to the recent upload of modular X.Org, as there are a lot of other problems I think are related, namely:- 1/ xfontsel won't start:- $ xfontsel Warning: Unable to load any usable ISO8859 font Error: Aborting: no font found 2/ xterm crashes when you Ctrl-click to bring up an on-screen menu:- $ xterm Warning: Cannot convert string "-adobe-helvetica-bold-r-normal--*-120-*-*-*-*-iso8859-*" to type FontStruct Warning: Unable to load any usable ISO8859 font Warning: Unable to load any usable ISO8859 font Error: Aborting: no font found 3/ GNUCash crashes at startup with a font error. 4/ xcalc crashes at startup $ xcalc Warning: Cannot convert string "-adobe-symbol-*-*-*-*-*-120-*-*-*-*-*-*" to type FontStruct Warning: Unable to load any usable ISO8859 font Warning: Unable to load any usable ISO8859 font Error: Aborting: no font found And a whole load more in the same vein. I suspect that the same problem is also at the root of bugs 363436, 363571 and 363664 at least.
