Bug#366338: #366338 evolution: send/receive button remains greyed out (when in offline mode)

2010-04-11 Thread Erich Schubert
Hi,
Well, the bug report obviously is quite old now, and things have changed
in Evolution a lot since.
So I'd just close it, since the key behaviour has improved a lot by now.

However, there is still a related issue with Evolution that I'm aware
of, but that should probably be handled as an upstream bug report.

I use an IMAP server on "localhost". Obviously, going offline shouldn't
prevent evolution from fetching emails from "localhost". I believe when
I reported this bug, I was seeing a similar thing with a local Maildir.
I was using the "sync mails" button to have evolution re-check the
maildirs. But the button was not available due to NetworkManager
claiming offline mode (I was probably connected without using
NetworkManager).

Regards,
Erich

Bug#366338: #366338 evolution: send/receive button remains greyed out (when in offline mode)

thanks

Hello Erich,

My summary of the bug http://bugs.debian.org/366338 is that when
evolution enables the offline mode no email is recived/send and the
button is greyed.
But IMHO this is correct and OK.
The user can disable/enable offline mode in file -> work offline

Evolution gets the information from network manager.

I'm using both since some time and it works fine.

What should be done in your opinion regarding this bug?

thx.
