Bug#367314: patch will not work
This patch will not work, since setting HOST= on the kernel command line does not do anything (maybe since FAI 3.2). IIRC in older version of FAI this worked, but the code was removed. So there's no need to patch fai-chboot. Today, you need to use hostname= on the command line. I think initramfs-tools is responsible for taking care of this.
