Bug#372571: bug report installation-reports

The computer asked about language, country and keyboard, which seemed to be OK. Next came a message No kernel modules found. This probably is due to a mismatch between the kernel used by this version of the installer and the kernel version in the archive [..] That could be a hick-up in the daily build. My advice is to retry with a recent build of the debian-installer When I try to continue the installation, the installer cannot detect the Realtek-8029 thernet card. The hardware detection software depends on hardware IDs. Recent electronica like PCI and USB devices does have such IDs. ISA cards, like Realtek-8029, don't have it. You have the manual load the kernel module. (something like `modprobe ne2000` at VT2 ) Thanks, Paul Huygen Cheers Geert Stappers -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
