Hi François, hi Luc,

thanks to both of you for the printers.conf you sent me. Unfortunately
I cannot reproduce the crash with either one, neiter with 1.3.7 nor
1.2.2. Thus I can only assume that the crash is hardware specific.

Can you please install those printers.conf, stop cupsd with

  /etc/init.d/cupsys stop

(as root), install the package cupsys-dbg, and then run cupsd under
the debugger:

  gdb --args /usr/sbin/cupsd -f

(as root again). It should crash. Once you are back at the gdb prompt,
please do

  bt full

to acquire a stack trace. Can you please copypaste or attach it here?

Thank you!

Martin

Bug#378860: [Pkg-cups-devel] Bug#378860: Cupsys daily segfaults: duplicate entry in printers.conf?

2008-04-01 Thread Martin Pitt
Hi all,

Can anyone please attach a printers.conf which causes the crash? I
tried to duplicate my PDF printer, which resulted in attached file,
and cups does not crash.

I tried it on 1.3.6-3.

Thanks,

Martin
