Package: samba Version: 3.0.23b-1 Followup-For: Bug #382429 Hi, I downgraded samba on the AMD64 box to 3.0.22; the error disappeared. However, shares were not accessible, due to some incompatibility of the password tdb. Deleting the password tdb an creating it new helped (despite segfaulting smbpasswd)
New SMB password: Retype new SMB password: Unable to open/create TDB passwd Unable to open/create TDB passwd pdb_getsampwnam: TDB passwd (/var/lib/samba/passdb.tdb) did not exist. File successfully created. [1] 12328 segmentation fault smbpasswd Now samba seems to work fine. So apparently one bug was fixed in 3.0.23b, but another one created instead. And it seems to apply only to amd64; it may however occur on other 64bit archs, too. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
