You have your debconf settings so it uses the default database location. You either do not have mysql running or it is not listening on the socket. So its not going to work! Either reconfigure it with a lower priority, start your database or don't say yes when it asks you if you want dbconfig to configure it. It's just doing what you asked it to do.
