Hello,

I have one question: Why don't you file an RM bug instead? I mean, the
rc-bugs for etch are going down, so wenn this package is removed we have
another one less...

Because the ltt source package builds more than just the kernel-patch
package, and it's not Jeroen's responsibility to determine whether the rest
of the package is suitable for inclusion in main without the kernel-patch. 
If it is not, the maintainer can clone this bug to ftp.debian.org and
request removal of the full source package.  If it is, the maintainer should
stop building the kernel-patch package from the source and it will be
dropped automatically.

And your email was sent only to the maintainer, not to the submitter; please
cc: #-submitter when you want to ask a question of the submitter. :)
