Yes, I'll upload a maintainance release soonish, maybe that'll fix the
issue automatically... Let me know if the problem persists after the
upgrade.

libbonobo2-0 got upgraded recently, and it no longer appears again and
again. You do not plan a new version in the near future?

I tried it in a sid changeroot, and there it does not appear (I just
installed aatv there). I can have a look on this on my ibook (ppc) if you
think this might help. Finally I could build a local version ("pseudo
upgrade") and install it and later on downgrade and see if this helps.

Would these attempts be ok for you?

I actually think this behaviour is some bad interaction of dpkg, apt
and aatv, but I am not into details there. Maybe you can ask someone
with knowledge in this area for ideas.

Thanks for maintaining aatv.

Helge

P.S. Just in case it is important:

2006-05-19 18:30:39 upgrade aatv 0.3-1 0.3-2

Hi,

I've not been able to reproduce this behaviour. Not sure what could
cause it... Can you reproduce it on a second system?

Bug#390844: aatv: Remains in the list of packages for upgrade

2006-10-03 Thread Helge Kreutzmann
Package: aatv
Version: 0.3-2
Severity: normal

For a lengthy time now, apt-dist upgrade always wants to update aatv,
however, nothing new is really installed. To illustrate:

remaxp:~# env LANG=C apt-get dist-upgrade
Reading package lists... Done

Calculating upgrade... Done
The following packages will be upgraded:
  aatv libbonobo2-0
2 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B/187kB of archives.
After unpacking 0B of additional disk space will be used.

Setting up libbonobo2-0 (2.14.0-1) ...

remaxp:~# env LANG=C apt-get dist-upgrade

Building dependency tree... Done

The following packages will be upgraded:
  aatv libbonobo2-0
2 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B/187kB of archives.
After unpacking 0B of additional disk space will be used.

Preparing to replace libbonobo2-0 2.14.0-1 (using
.../libbonobo2-0_2.14.0-1_amd64.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement libbonobo2-0 ...
Setting up aatv (0.3-2) ...

Setting up libbonobo2-0 (2.14.0-1) ...

I tried purging aatv and reinstalling, but this did not change
anything.

If this is a bug in apt, please reassign (this might be, as
libbonobo2-0 shows the same behaviour, but I could not purge it as
easily to test if it would help there).
