Bug#392320: phpmyadmin: The copy operation doesn't work because it makes a sql syntax error

2006-10-13 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hello
I'm afraid the package version 2.9.0.2-1 that you mention isn't yet released on
debian...
The last released is 2.8.2-0.2 it's the one I use...
I don't want to break my server by installing a version which isn't even in
unstable or experimental.

Hello,

when trying to copy a database to another, I always get this kind of error:
#1064 - Erreur de syntaxe près de '1392DEFAULT CHARSET = latin1 COLLATE =
latin1_general_ci' à la ligne 20
in english :
#1064 - Syntax error near '1392DEFAULT CHARSET = latin1 COLLATE = latin1_general_ci' on line 20

and there's another bug : the AUTO_INCREMENT item appears even when the
corresponding checkbox is not checked so that it's impossible
to work around the first bug

I cannot reproduce both of these bugs in the latest package version. It
would really help me if you could check whether it still exists in
package version 2.9.0.2-1.

Thanks,
Thijs

It is... probably your mirror needs some time to catch up.
packages.debian.org is also a bit delayed. You can download it here, it
has been in unstable for a couple of days:

http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/p/phpmyadmin/phpmyadmin_2.9.0.2-1_all.deb

thanks a lot !
with this release, there's a little trouble with the theme, but the copy
operation works well.
I still don't understand why apt-get couldn't find it in the repository...

2006-10-11 Thread tech
Package: phpmyadmin
Version: 4:2.8.2-0.2
Severity: normal

when trying to copy a database to another, I always get this kind of error:
#1064 - Erreur de syntaxe près de '1392DEFAULT CHARSET = latin1 COLLATE =
latin1_general_ci' à la ligne 20
in english :
#1064 - Syntax error near '1392DEFAULT CHARSET = latin1 COLLATE =
latin1_general_ci' on line 20

and there is the mentionned line :
) ENGINE = MYISAM AUTO_INCREMENT = 1392DEFAULT CHARSET = latin1 COLLATE =
latin1_general_ci

There's a space missing between the auto increment value and the term DEFAULT
CHARSET

and there's another bug : the AUTO_INCREMENT item appears even when the
corresponding checkbox is not checked so that it's impossible
to work around the first bug
