up to the sid repository?

Yes, I'll work on it as soon I manage to fix the current issues. I believe
it's more likely to see backports for 1.2.4 issues than this beta on
unstable, which later enters testing. I'm not willing to deliver a
beta version on a stable release.

However I might upload it to experimental for feedback and testing.
