I've done some more tests. The problem still occurs with
gnome-keyring 3.20.1-1.

However, I've noticed that all the gnome-keyring-daemon processes
quit after about 3 minutes (including the one started for the
current login).

But if they quit, I wonder why they are started in the first place.
I can't find anything in the logs...

For bug 829698, this cannot be related to gnome-session since
gnome-session has never been installed on my machine.

Now, I can no longer see a gnome-keyring-daemon process running
after logging in. So, perhaps the fact that it was started
automatically was a bug and this has been fixed?

I would be tempted to say that this is a gnome-session issue and this is
finally fixed with the patch provided in
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=764029

Bug#395572: gnome-keyring lives on after ssh session stops

2007-04-24 Thread Sven Arvidsson
I have Debian Sarge running on two machines. The kernel version is
2.6.8-2-686 (smp), and libc is 2.3.2-ds1-22sarge4. This behavior
 happens on both.

From home after bringing up a new X session with xinit -- :1, I log
into my machine at work via
   ssh -XC [EMAIL PROTECTED]
   password
   gnome-session
Now I do my business. I logoff from my work machine using the Actions
button (and log off at home).

When I return tomorrow, a ps -aux shows that the gnome-keyring process
from yesterday is still there. I have to kill -9 it by hand (i.e.,
 kill -SIGHUP does not work).

Hi,

Does this bug still happen on an Etch (or testing/unstable) system?

Bug#395572: gnome-keyring lives on after ssh session stops

2006-10-27 Thread hefferon9
Package: gnome-keyring
Version: 0.4.2-1

I have Debian Sarge running on two machines. The kernel version is 2.6.8-2-686
(smp), and libc is 2.3.2-ds1-22sarge4. This behavior happens on both.

From home after bringing up a new X session with xinit -- :1, I log into my
machine at work via
  ssh -XC [EMAIL PROTECTED]
  password
  gnome-session
Now I do my business. I logoff from my work machine using the Actions button
(and log off at home).

When I return tomorrow, a ps -aux shows that the gnome-keyring process from
yesterday is still there. I have to kill -9 it by hand (i.e., kill -SIGHUP
does not work).

Thank you,
Jim Hefferon
