Bug#396288: Entering new books broken
Follow-up: It seems that changing locale from en to us in the Amazon settings makes things work, so my guess is that only the interface to amazon.co.uk is broken somehow. Oh, and I've definitely been using Bugzilla at work too much, hence the mixup between major and important. On the other hand, now that I got this workaround, severity should probably be normal anyway... Still, it would be really nice to be able to use amazon.co.uk. Bug#396288: Entering new books broken
Package: alexandria Severity: major Version: 0.6.1-1 Rationale for severity: no longer possible to add new books, thus a large functionality impairment, without rendering the software useless (it is still possible to view and edit existing libraries). Alexandria no longer finds anything when trying to enter new books. I've tried with a quite wide assortment of ISBNs (I've got roughly 20 new books I haven't managed to add to my register by now). The time I added a book successfully was the 21st of August. I don't have the exact date when things stopped working though. I've attempted to use both Amazon & Proxis, with no luck. The only error message I get is: Gtk-CRITICAL **:gtk_tree_view_column_cell_layout_pack_start: assertion `! gtk_tree_view_column_get_cell_info (column, cell)' failed But that appears as soon as I press "Add book", and is GTK-related (and should thus not affect searches...)
