Bug#402833: dansguardian: please downgrade dependency on clamav: I'll second that

2007-01-27 Thread Ben
Package: dansguardian
Version: 2.8.0.6-antivirus-6.4.4.1-1
Followup-For: Bug #402833

I also use DG only for filtering and have no need for AV. It would be nice to
not have to
fiddle with ClamAV just to get DG going...

Thanks,
Ben

Bug#402833: dansguardian: please downgrade dependency on clamav

2006-12-12 Thread Yann Dirson
Package: dansguardian
Version: 2.8.0.6-antivirus-6.4.4-1
Severity: normal

My only use for dansguardian is for filtering purposes, no win32 box
here. Therefore, I don't have a need for clamav, which is not a small
package. This should be at most a Reccommended package.

This is not so easy as dansguardian is linked against clamav and will make
big trouble if clamav isn't installed. But I will give it a deeper look
later.
