Bug#402963: squid3: In generated messages use term UTC instead of deprecated GMT

2007-07-10 Thread squid3
The Squid development team are working towards RFC 2616 (HTTP 1.1)
compliance. That RFC requires the use of string 'GMT' in all date/times
output (see section 3.3).

If you have another RFC which superceeds this we would like to know. But
until then this will not be changed.

Bug#402963: squid3: In generated messages use term UTC instead of deprecated GMT

2006-12-13 Thread Jari Aalto
Package: squid3
Version: 3.0.PRE4-5
Severity: normal

When Squid generated messages (e.g. missing page) it reads:

Generated Wed, 13 Dec 2006 19:47:35 GMT by localhost (squid/3.0.PRE4)

SUGGESTION

Please move to use term UTC which has superseded the old and
deprecated GMT term.
