Bug#406476: ucf: does not transfer mode changes to conffile

2007-01-18 Thread Manoj Srivastava
Hi,

I am going to defer this change to after Etch is released --
unless someone can convince the release managers that a cp -cpf is
 not going to disrupt anything.

Bug#406476: ucf: does not transfer mode changes to conffile

2007-01-11 Thread Marc Haber
Package: ucf
Version: 2.0017
Severity: normal

Hi,

I have transitioned a ucf-maintained conffile to be executable (mode
755 instead of 644). The new mode arrives in the package in /usr/share
just find, but ucf does not seem to transfer the new mode to the
actual conffile in /etc.

Greetings
Marc
