Package: kile Version: 1:1.9.3-1 Severity: wishlist Hello,
In long .tex documents I find it crucial to be able to edit in one place, then in another, and then to go back to the first one. This could be supported by allowing two editor views on the same .tex document. The views must be linked so that changes in one view are immediately reflected in the other one. Kile does not allow that; there is no "new view" functionality, and attempts to open the same file a second time are ignored. Please implement this feature! For me, it is so important that I might actually go back to using another editor, despite the fact that I like kile! :-/ -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-1-486 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages kile depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5 core libraries and binaries for al ii konsole 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5 X terminal emulator for KDE ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-8 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-21 GCC support library ii libqt3-mt 3:3.3.7-2 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-21 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii tetex-bin 3.0-28 The teTeX programs Versions of packages kile recommends: ii kdvi 4:3.5.5-2 dvi viewer for KDE ii kghostview 4:3.5.5-2 PostScript viewer for KDE ii tetex-doc 3.0.dfsg.3-5 The documentation component of the ii tetex-extra 3.0.dfsg.3-5 Additional TeX input files of teTe -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
