Bug#413306: zope2.9: DateTime messed up again

2007-03-28 Thread Jérémy Bobbio
Hi Bernd!

Could you please try with zope2.9 versian 2.9.7-1 which has entered
unstable today?

The changelog mentions fixes related to DateTime, so I'm wondering is
they are enough to fix your problems.

Cheers,

 Heya,

obviously DateTime is messed up again. Doesn't look related to #224256,
so I'm submitting a new bug.

 Please see
 http://dev.plone.org/plone/ticket/6062
 and
 http://www.zope.org/Collectors/Zope/2191
 (check comments = #15)

This renders plone's ATEvent useless, for example.
Having zope with a broken DateTime module in etch doesn't sound like
something you'd want to have in etch - if possible please try to fix it
 before etch is released.

Is there a general (accepted by upstream) patch to fix the problem?
Quickly looking at the tickets it does not seem so.

Cheers,

In this case, I think we can't do anything to fix it: I don't think that
applying a patch to change the behaviour of DateTime in Debian is the right
thing to do, because other parties could depend on the broken behaviour. Am
I right or I'm missing something?

Thanks,

no, you're right. But I hope that Zope gets a fix out before etch is
released, especially because there're packages in Debian which are
affected by this bug.

Ack. I'll keep an eye on those bug reports in the upstream BTS, but if I
miss a patch please forward it to this bug report.

Thanks!
