Bug#414380: amaya does not start. X Window System error serial 10426 error_code 8 request_code 144 minor_code 5
Package: amaya Version: 9.53~dfsg.0-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable I can't start amaya, and I have this message : (amaya:2766): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_set_colormap: assertion `!GTK_WIDGET_REALIZED (widget)' failed The program 'amaya' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'. (Details: serial 10426 error_code 8 request_code 144 minor_code 5) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) I use the unstable package. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages amaya depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libexpat1 1.95.8-3.4 XML parsing C library - runtime li ii libfreetype6 2.2.1-5FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-21 GCC support library ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 6.5.1-0.6 A free implementation of the OpenG ii libglu1-mesa [libglu1]6.5.1-0.6 The OpenGL utility library (GLU) ii libjpeg62 6b-13 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libpng12-01.2.15~beta5-1 PNG library - runtime ii libraptor11.4.13-1 Raptor RDF parser and serializer l ii libstdc++64.1.1-21 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libwww-ssl0 5.4.0-11 The W3C-WWW library (SSL support) ii libwxbase2.6-02.6.3.2.1.5wxBase library (runtime) - non-GUI ii libwxgtk2.6-0 2.6.3.2.1.5wxWidgets Cross-platform C++ GUI t ii ttf-freefont 20060501cvs-10 Freefont Serif, Sans and Mono True ii zlib1g1:1.2.3-13 compression library - runtime amaya recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Yes, yes I know. This bug is actually a mixed thing somewhere between wxWidgets, Mesa and Xorg. And you're running GLX without DRI, which is (almost) the only situation triggering the bug I have seen. For more informations, see bug #357439 : http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=357439 Regis On Sun, 2007-03-11 at 11:43 +0100, Adrien Grellier wrote: Package: amaya Version: 9.53~dfsg.0-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable I can't start amaya, and I have this message : (amaya:2766): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_set_colormap: assertion `!GTK_WIDGET_REALIZED (widget)' failed The program 'amaya' received an X Window System error. I'm not sure the BTS would be very happy about merging bugs assigned to different packages... Considering this bug only affects the package in some specific situations, I will probably downgrade it to important. And I will leave it assigned to this package, because if I reassign it to wxWidgets and merge, it will only be a couple of weeks before someone else opens the same bug again... If you have another idea on how to handle the situation, suggestions are welcome :) Regis -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble?
