since I have installed uswsusp, resuming stopped working (no error
messages).
However, when i removed it, it started working again.
If you uninstall it you'll be using the version of suspend in the
kernel that doesn't rely on userspace. You'll be missing some
functionality, like compression. encryption, splash screen and
suspend-to-both.
I have a vanilla kernel built by make-kpkg and use yaird to make initramfs.
Versions of packages uswsusp recommends:
pn initramfs-tools none (no description available)
You don't have initramfs-tools installed. uswsusp will only work out of
the box if you have. You'll have to follow the directions
in /usr/share/doc/uswsusp/HOWTO.gz to make it work with yaird. I have
never used yaird. If you found a way to make it work and I can add
it to the package, I love to hear about it.
