Bug#419096: openttd: Strange phrase in debconf note

2007-04-23 Thread Matthijs Kooijman
Hi,

While translating your debconf template to German, I notice that your
 second string sound strange.
I agree, it is confusing now I reread that.

Please also not the SMITH project:
 http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2007/04/msg0.html
All templates are currently being reviewed by them. From what I've seen so
far, this issue will be fixed when their review is complete. I will therefore
leave this for now.

Gr.

Matthijs

I confirm that the templates are currently under review.

Current templates:

Template: openttd/datafiles
Type: error
_Description: Data files needed
For its operation, OpenTTD needs the data files from the original
 Transport Tycoon Deluxe game.
 .
See the /usr/share/doc/openttd/README.Debian file for more details
about the needed files and their location.

While translating your debconf template to German, I notice that your

If the files are strictly required:
-to run. You should install these data files before you can play the game.
+to run. You need to install these data files before you can play the game.

If the files only provide additional levels/features:
-to run. You should install these data files before you can play the game.
-to run. You should install these data files before you play the game.

In the latter case you might add a sentence stating the limitations or
the benefit of the additional files.

Noting that openttd is in contrib, probably the former case applies.

Please provide me (and the other translators of your template) with
the updated de.po *before* uploading so I can update the translation
as well[1].
