Hi, Hi, I think it's started by gnome-settings-daemon. Is /apps/gnome_settings_daemon/screensaver/start_screensaver set to true? (Check with gconftool-2 --get or gconf-editor). /apps/gnome_settings_daemon/screensaver is empty on both machines. Are there any errors logged in .xsession-errors? GDM 2.18.1-2 is indeed installed on both machines, but this also happened with previous versions (I am unfortunately not able to be more precise). Cheers, Julien
