Hi, I am having the same bug, OOo doesn't start anymore. It fails with the following error: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice: line 361: 10559 Segmentation fault $sd_prog/$sd_binary $@ ** (process:10543): WARNING **: Unknown error forking main binary / abnormal early exit ... All packages are 2.2.0.6. Attached is the full strace when starting oowriter. Can you try with OPENGL_SUPPORT=yes set to no? (and maybe auto, for that matter, but on systems with nvidias/ATIs driver it probably will make it enabled) (Create a /etc/openoffice/soffice.sh for that if you want that preerved) And please try to use the normal nvidia driver, too And try yes, no, auto, too. I confirm oowriter works when /etc/openoffice/soffice.sh contains OPENGL_SUPPORT=no. I will try ASAP with free nv driver but for now I can't quit X.
