Description : tool for tunneling IPv4 data through a DNS server

This is a piece of software that lets you tunnel IPv4 data through a
DNS server. This can be usable in different situations where
internet access is firewalled, but DNS queries are allowed.

It might be interesting to note in the description how this relates to
nstx.

There is also nstx. Is iodine better? Or why do you want it in the
archive as well?

Hi Gregor,

How is iodine different from nstx?

Thanks for your questions.

I've put an additional paragraph trying to explain the difference in
the bugreport: http://bugs.debian.org/430206

Please check if this answers your questions.

I've now added the following paragraph to the long description:

iodine is similar to nstx but has password authentication, brings up the
tun interface automatically and let's the user specify the IP address as a
 command line option.

I might have missed something in nstx but those points seem like
advantages of iodine.

gregor
