Bug#433754: Starting GNOME Display Manager: gdmSplashy ERROR: Connection refused

2007-07-19 Thread Julien Puydt

Package: gdm
Version: 2.18.3-4
Severity: important

The display manager isn't started anymore on boot, and /etc/init.d/gdm
gives the above error message.

I have to just type gdm to have it run.

I guess this is caused by splashy. Do you have the latest version
installed?

Package splasy in version 0.3.4 -- but that version dates back from
Fri, 18 May 2007 12:38:14 +0200, while gdm has been updated :

to version 2.18.3-4 on Thu, 12 Jul 2007 17:43:04 +0200
to version 2.18.3-3 on Tue, 10 Jul 2007 15:48:01 +0200
to version 2.18.3-2 on Wed, 04 Jul 2007 14:30:53 +0200

this is the reason why I assigned to gdm and not to splashy.
