Using gnuplot 4.2.2-1.1 on lenny, running xprop | grep WM_CLASS
on the gnuplot graph window gives:

WM_CLASS(STRING) = frame, frame

WM_CLASS property is not defined in the graph window of gnuplot.
WM_CLASS is used by the wmii window manager to automatically
tag clients.
