Hi,

I did a bit of investigation to find documentation on ${misc:Depends}
and I came across:

debhelper(7):
V4  Changes from V3 are:
-   You are encouraged to put the new ${misc:Depends} into
debian/control to supplement the ${shlibs:Depends} field.


I'll add the ${misc:Depends} for the next version/revision of the
package.

Are there any problems with scim-m17n package as a result of not
including ${misc:Depends}? What benefit will scim-m17n gain from the
inclusion of ${misc:Depends}?

Not having ${misc:Depends} may cause you problems. See for example:

${misc:Depends} may provide some dependencies required by your
