There is more in
http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEdu/HowTo/SiteSummary>, but it
should be available in the package as well.

The files created by the scripts in collect.d/ end up on the server,
in /var/lib/sitesummary/.

Run 'dpkg-reconfigure sitesummary-client' to configure where to submit
information and the host site, subsite and type.

I believe the server side component will be activated by the
dependencies.

The important configuration is to set up the clients to use the URL of
the server. Replace 'localhost' with the DNS name of the server (the
collector) when running 'dpkg-reconfigure sitesummary-client'. After
a day or two, you should be able to see stats showing up in
http://collector.dns.name/sitesummary/>.
There is also a server option of creating a munin configuration file
with all the hosts known to the collector. Do not remember the
details of that one.
I hope someone can put all this together into instructions for the
sysadmin and user of sitesummary.
Happy hacking,
