Sure, I will do it after the gcc-4.2 build and report it there.
Did you manage to recompile upstream's tarball? You may be interested
in the new version release candidate, which is likely to be released
as is:

There are none at the moment, sh4 is an almost dead unofficial port which Arthur Loiret and myself intend to bring back to life. I currently have one machine on heavy load to obtain an up-to-date native sid toolchain. More machines will come afterwards.
