Bug#461476: Nautilus crashes when showing folder properties
Er, what is the point of the testing distribution if it is not to try applications in realistic use? You might know this bug is fixed, how are other people to know? No other bug mentions properties. I know it must be frustrating having people reporting bugs that you have already worked hard to fix but please be polite to us lesser mortals. If this is a duplicate of a bug that is already fixed then can it be marked as such. I am sure you are doing your best and the problem here for us testers on the testing distribution is the 2.20 has been stuck in unstable since September. Yes, and this is the kind of reasons why you shouldn’t use testing for a desktop, only stable or unstable. Cheers, -- .''`. : :' : We are debian.org. You might know this bug is fixed, how are other people to know? No other bug mentions properties. There are at least three of them, but all already closed. But which? Only two bugs on http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?src=nautilus mention crashing when trying to view properties, this and 459147, about which similar comments have been made. I am sure that most people using the testing distribution are aware of bugs being fixed in unstable before they get to testing and we don't report them, as long as we can find that they have been fixed. As I wrote before, if these bugs were marked as duplicates that that would make it much less likely that they are reported again.
