Package: slocate

Installing slocate does not create the required config file
/etc/updatedb.conf. When first running /etc/cron.daily/slocate , as
advised by the installer, it complains, and likewise it complains every
day through the crontab.

WARNING: You should run '/etc/cron.daily/slocate' as root. locate will
not work
properly until you do or until it is run by cron (it is daily).

updatedb: fatal error: load_file: Could not open file:
/etc/updatedb.conf: No such file or directory
