Could you clarify what you mean by not loading?
I'm getting
  == Registered application 'RxFAX'
app_rxfax.so = (Trivial FAX Receive Application)
  == Registered application 'TxFAX'
app_txfax.so = (Trivial FAX Transmit Application)

On asterisk 1.4.17~dfsg-2+b1, arch: amd64.
As I said before, it also works on i386.

quick rebuild against latest spandsp-dev and asterisk-dev fixed it for me.

Seems fine on i386. Perhaps somewhere along the way the ABI got broken 
and asterisk-app-fax got built with a broken one?


Is there anyone else who could try on amd64?
