Hi,
some more details on this:

JFYI: I also read about not mixing different ISC DHPCd versions as
failover peers. Tried it though, because I planned to upgrade both my
DHCP servers to Lenny anyway.
So after I dist-upgraded our master DHCP server yesterday from Etch
(3.0.4-13) to Lenny (3.1.1-5) it really worked fine
... if Etch is the Master server and Lenny is the slave server. If I
try it vice versa, I run exactly into Noèl's problem.
until I dist-upgraded the slave DHCP server, too. Since then the
master server stops shortly after start with the error message:
failover peer ruchen: I move from normal to startup
Failover CONNECT from stock: unknown failover relationship name
So Etch - Lenny worked fine here
... in the one direction but not in the other direction ...
but Lenny - Lenny doesn't work. Very strange.
I'll probably file a new bug report for this
Done: #513506 (http://bugs.debian.org/513506)
as soon as I found out more details since it's surely a different
bug I have with Lenny - Lenny.
I'm no more sure, if this is caused by the same bug or a completely
different one. I though can imagine that if 513506 get's fixed this
bug would vanish, too.
Kind regards, Axel Beckert
