Close the bug for now. I keep your mail. If I manage to reproduce a problem with the new firmware, I wil try the LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 trick... Have a nice sunday -- eric

So the part of the bug mentioning the patch should be removed but the bug is there. I checked that I can the key points are the name of the files and that they shall not contain accented character... -- eric -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". What if locale is not UTF8? Anyway, I'm not going to do any amarok upload until 1.4.8-2 reaches testing which may take up to two weeks or even more. It would be great if you somehow could test if the patch works with non-UTF8 locales. -- Modestas Vainius <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

This is just that we should do correct conversion with non latin1 character in song titles title like éèç that are very common in french songs. Put such a character in a song title and try to transfer it on a MTP device. UTF8 is usually a much better alternative than hardcoded latin1.
