Okay, I'm a little confused now. Can you make the contents of your /etc/dbus-1/system.d/odccm.conf visible somewhere then please? Also, you're definitely running the daemon as root? When I try to recreate this by simply installing the package, no problem
exists, but if I remove the above file, I get a similar error message.
This said file should be installed with the odccm package[0].
