Package: krb5-config
Version: 1.18
Severity: normal
--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
I am a user of /afs/slac.stanford.edu
This domain has recently upgraded to use krb5.
I found I was able to kinit, but aklog returned an "unknown RPC error".
After some time, I found that commenting out the following line in
krb5.conf fixed the problem:
.stanford.edu = stanford.edu
(this also appears in krb5.conf.template). I also commented out other
lines related to the stanford.edu realm.
This bug rendered afs unusable for me, so should arguably have a higher
severity than normal, but I leave that to your judgement.
Cheers
Tim
