Yesterday I made an update on my i386 unstable system and it worked
there also. So I suspected an amd64 issue. The only other difference
is that my usernames are different. In the working case username and
principial match, in the non-working case they don't match.

Could you try installing the mutt-dbg package and producing a
 backtrace with gdb?

Yes. I will do so this evening.

I didn't tried it with 1.5.18-3 but I can't reproduce the segfault
with 1.5.18-4. Maybe there was a bug in some library last week. I
guess this bug can be closed.

Daniel

 Hello,

I just installed 1.5.18-3 and it segfaults durint TLS initalisation. A
strace shows that one of the last things it does is
 | open(/tmp/krb5cc_1000, O_RDONLY) = 9
Removing --with-gss fixes the problem. Mutt works again, including
 single-sign-on via libsasl2-modules-gssapi-heimdal.

Hi Daniel,

as Kerberos has been on my TOTRY list for a long time, I gave it a
shot and set it up on one of my systems. As the bottom line, it works
for me, I'm actually replying to your message in a
GSSAPI-authenticated imaps folder on my dovecot server.

I suspect something else is broken on your system, or your setup is
different in some way.

Could you try installing the mutt-dbg package and producing a
backtrace with gdb?

Christoph

Package: mutt

Hello,

I just installed 1.5.18-3 and it segfaults durint TLS initalisation. A
strace shows that one of the last things it does is
| open(/tmp/krb5cc_1000, O_RDONLY) = 9
Removing --with-gss fixes the problem. Mutt works again, including
single-sign-on via libsasl2-modules-gssapi-heimdal.

So please remove the path from #469483. It renders the package
unusable.

without gss and with gpgme.
