Bug#493494: graphviz: tred removes all edges

thanks

Wouter Koolen-Wijkstra [EMAIL PROTECTED] (02/08/2008):
 tred removes all edges.

Good news, upstream now has a fix in CVS. I'll probably wait a week, so
that 2.20.2-1 can migrate to testing, and then upload a new revision
with a backport of this patch (which might eventually be granted a
freeze exception as well since a whole tool of the graphviz suite is no
longer working). If you want a binary for a specific architecture, I can
provide you with either the source package or binary packages for
i386/amd64 in the meanwhile, so that you can still work while I wait
until 20080812 (planned date of graphviz's migration to testing).

Mraw,
KiBi.

Thanks! I think the tred program is quite useful.

Strange thing is that it used to work before. I can't recall which
version, I used it a lot about a year ago.

Hi, hanks for the report, I didn't even run this program before. It
looks like no similar report is open on upstream's bugtracker, I'll
forward your report to them in a few minutes.

Mraw,
KiBi.

2008-08-02 Thread Wouter Koolen-Wijkstra
Package: graphviz
Version: 2.20.2-1

tred removes all edges. For example

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp$ cat  test
digraph G {

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp$ tred test
digraph G {

It is supposed to remove only edges implied by transitivity.
