I suggest to use "gucharmap" package and command. It is very useful for checking font issue or not. # and with this issue, I cannot reproduce the problem, too. -- Regards, Hideki Yamane henrich @ debian.or.jp/iijmio-mail.jp http://wiki.debian.org/HidekiYamane -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". OK, I feel like an idiot. I opened OOo and tried to write some ô characters and was surprised to see that now the proper glyph was shown for the sans version, and, and, ... behold, when I changed the font to serif I got the broken glyph. Still, don't be hasty, I can't get the sample since when I saved the file with both the sans and the serif ô, closed OOo writer and reopened the file ... tum-tum tum-tum, both types were correct TA-DA! I tired several ways to reproduce the problem, but I wasn't able to. Now I not able to reproduce the problem anymore, so please do what you please with this bug. -- Regards, EddyP = "Imagination is more important than knowledge" A.Einstein signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

Bug#501650: ttf-liberation: wrong gliph for ^o in sans form
Package: ttf-liberation Version: 1.04~beta2-2 Severity: important Tags: l10n upstream Hello, In the attached image you can see that the same word, "Hôpitaux" has rendered the character "ô" (o circumflex) correctly for the serif variant, but the sans version of the font contains another gliph, namely "Ù" (capital U with a grave accent). Please fix this before the release of Lenny since the Liberation font is picked automatically in OpenOffice.org and many people might use it because of its resemblence with a popular non-free font. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (10, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=ro_RO.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ro_RO.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages ttf-liberation depends on: ii defoma 0.11.10-0.2 Debian Font Manager -- automatic f ttf-liberation recommends no packages. ttf-liberation suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
