Bug#508634: okular: Does not exit full screen mode

Since then, KDE Software Compilation had several releases. Can you please verify whether the bug you reported is still present in a more current version (and - if yes - specify which version)? It's still present in the version currently in Debian unstable, Debian version 4:4.4.5-1. The form may have changed slightly. The way I would currently describe it is that if you quit okular while it is in full screen mode, the next time you start it it will enter full screen mode (which is reasonable), and then when you exit full screen mode okular keeps all the same settings, namely, window size just larger than the screen resolution and no menu bar. It thus appears to still be in full screen mode, but if you understand that this is what's going on, it's easy to work around. I would rate it as a 'minor' bug at the moment. Bug#508634: okular: Does not exit full screen mode
Package: okular Version: 0.7.1-1 Severity: normal Okular will at least sometimes refuse to leave full-screen mode, with several different ways to try. * Entering Ctrl-Shift-F has no effect. * Selecting Exit full screen mode from the pop-up menu has no effect. * Showing the menubar and selecting Exit full screen mode from the menu hides the menu bar, but otherwise has no effect. In all cases the screen flickers as though okular temporarily exited full-screen mode and then immediately reentered it. This has happened briefly in the past and I managed to exit full screen mode (without completely diagnosing the problem); the most recent time I was unable to exit the mode at all. Since documents are currently being opened in full screen mode, this is somewhat annoying... I am using the metacity window manager version 1:2.22.0-2. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (50, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.27.2 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages okular depends on: ii kdebase-runtime4:4.1.0-2 runtime components from the offici ii kdelibs5 4:4.1.0-3+b1 core libraries for all KDE 4 appli ii libc6 2.7-16GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libfreetype6 2.3.7-2 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgcc11:4.3.2-1 GCC support library ii libjpeg62 6b-14 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libokularcore1 0.7.1-1 libraries for the Okular document ii libpoppler-qt4-3 0.8.7-1 PDF rendering library (Qt 4 based ii libqca22.0.0-4 libraries for the Qt Cryptographic ii libqimageblitz41:0.0.4-4 QImageBlitz image effects library ii libqt4-dbus4.4.3-1 Qt 4 D-Bus module ii libqt4-qt3support 4.4.3-1 Qt 3 compatibility library for Qt ii libqt4-xml 4.4.3-1 Qt 4 XML module ii libqtcore4 4.4.3-1 Qt 4 core module ii libqtgui4 4.4.3-1 Qt 4 GUI module ii libspectre10.2.2.ds-1Library for rendering Postscript d ii libstdc++6 4.3.2-1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime okular recommends no packages.
