Bug#509046: russian keyboard layout incompatible with latin layouts

2011-01-27 Thread Cyril Brulebois
tag 509046 upstream
thanks

Alexey Ten (Lynn) alexeyten+...@gmail.com (18/01/2009):
Not only russian, but any layout without third level (e.g. us)
breaks these layouts too. As a temporary workaround you could place
russian layout to last position de(neo),sk,de,ru.

Hi Alexey Tobias,

any better with 1.8-2 (squeeze/sid) or 2.1-1 (experimental)? If you're
still having issue, I'd recommend opening a bug upstream:
  http://bugs.freedesktop.org/ (component: xkeyboard-config)

Thanks.

KiBi.

Bug#509046: russian keyboard layout incompatible with latin layouts

2008-12-17 Thread Tobias Schlemmer
Package: xkb-data
Version: 1.4-1
Severity: normal
File: xkb

Using setxkbmap 'de(neo),ru,sk,de' breaks the three latin layouts.
Important characters as '{[]}\' can not be entered anymore, since they
are composed using the Alt Gr (right Alt) key, which does not work in
this combination. Omitting the russian layout works well (but no
cyrillic), but omitting one or two of the latin layouts does not work.
