I think so, since it's not the job of the terminal software to handle missing
fonts. If you try to run xterm without its default font, it won't work either...

I don't know. If you are confident that terminal.app now handles missing
fonts then sure :-)

Thanks! After this Terminal starts properly.

RSS is around 19 MB (compared to 12MB of gnome-terminal), ctrl-c does
not kill it. Need to ctrl-z and kill -KILL %1.

Thanks.

Now you have it installed, but the GNUstep art backend cannot access it;
the corresponding .nfont bundle is missing. Please run
`dpkg-reconfigure gnustep-back-common' to rectify the problem.

Do you have ttf-freefont installed? I was under the impression it was
guaranteed to be present via the dependency chain.

BTW, I can't reproduce the bug, but I'm not sure I'm doing it right:

 1. I installed vnc4server and xvnc4viewer.
 2. Ran `vncserver', entered a password.
 3. Ran `vncviewer', and from within the window (showing
gnome-terminal only) started Terminal.

Btw, I never got your earlier email sent on "Tue, 15 Dec 2009 17:39:18

of the bug, only "511401-submit...@bugs.debian.org" does.

It seems to print the following in an infinite loop:

Hello Timo

Could you check with the sid (soon squeeze) versions of terminal.app if this
