Bug#517595: xsane crashed (SIGSEGV) if called without parameter

Couple of questions:
 - does it still segfault if you remove ~/.sane/xsane ?
 - which backend do you use? Does it still segfault if you disable all
   backends but this one?

Bug#517595: xsane crashed (SIGSEGV) if called without parameter

2009-04-15 Thread aragon

I have just upgrades from Etch to Lenny. After

rm -rf ~/.sane/xsane

xsane no longer segfaults. I can start it without parameter on the command
line and change resolution in the drop down list.

Martin

OK, that was expected. That's different from the original issue.

Thanks,

JB.

Bug#517595: xsane crashed (SIGSEGV) if called without parameter

2009-04-14 Thread aragon
Package: xsane
Version: 0.996-1
Followup-For: Bug #517595

Hello,

xsane crashed on start if I call it without parameter and my
usb-scanner has power on.

  $ xsane
  Segmentation fault

  strace output attached in xsane.strace

It starts normally if I use parameter -V.

  $ xsane -V

  strace output attached in xsane-V.strace

Then it crashed if I use another resolution out of the drop down list.
But I can change resolution if I press CTRL-L to switch to the
resolution scrollbar (correct term?)

Regards,
Martin

Did you just upgrade? If yes, remove ~/.sane/xsane and try again.
