I would like to suggest that you split the personal-details plugin to a separate package, because I don’t think it’s reasonable for a GTK+ tool like giggle to depend on Evolution. Another option would be to demote the dependencies of the plugin from Depends to Recommends or Suggests. I’ve tested the application and it seems to work just fine with trying to load the plugin but failing because the required libraries are not in place. If you do either of those (I think I prefer the second one, unless there can be any problems with it), I can look into uploading your package. In this process, I described the way to use the current package made by Andrea (waiting for a sponsor). I’m CC'ing him now, Andrea Corradi. I’d love to see an updated giggle package in Debian, and could help with sponsoring, at least for this time.
